CelloWoman, a collection of original folk rock & soul in the cantastoria tradition, turns the story of Kafka’s Metamorphosis on its back.

Instead of flailing in the body of a bug after profound alienation from the center of his life, our heroine transforms into a cello by ceasing fiddling with other people’s lives and embodying in the center of her own. 

Special thanks to Geoffrey Taylor, without whom this project would not have found its way out of clay.

The last time Geoffrey Taylor was fiddling by the Mississippi River, he was in Memphis along it's wide muddy banks. Rumor has it that it takes a drop of water at the Headwaters 90 days to make it's way downstream to the Gulf of Mexico. We're hoping that counts for a sonorous note of music, too 🙏🏼.
